Day Rides -----------------------

These day rides offer a perfect introduction to the spectacular landscapes of the Sierra Nevada National Park. You will enjoy up to three full days riding, spending around 6 hours each day in the saddle.

The routes follow a combination of old bridle-paths and forest tracks enabling you to explore first hand some of the more inaccessible ravines and valleys of the Sierra Nevada mountains. High summer pastures with streams fed by the snow-melt of the Mulhacén lead down to whitewashed villages in the valleys.

On one day we ride high into the mountains. The mountain paths have spectacular views of the highest peaks on one side and views down to the Mediterranean on the other. Other days we can take a lower route where the wide forest tracks allow for a faster pace.

85 Euros plus 16% IVA per person per day including lunch.

ACCOMMODATION: While in Bubion you will stay in the charming 'Casa Sevilliana', a beautifully restored Spanish house. 35 Euros with breakfast single room, 55 twin or double room.

On the days you ride we provide a full picnic using fresh local produce or have lunch at a village restaurant. Please let us know if you are vegetarian.

NOT INCLUDED: Airfares and taxes, transfers to and from the airport, personal and medical insurance, dinners and drinks.

HOW TO GET HERE:

Option 1: GRANADA AIRPORT: Several airlines offer cheap flights from the UK and Europe to Granada airport (the nearest airport to Bubion). If you choose to hire a car from Granada airport the drive here takes approximately 1.5 hours.

Alternatively you can take a taxi which will cost around 75€ each way.

There are buses from Granada airport to Granada bus station where you can catch a bus directly to Bubion at a cost of 10€ (the last bus leaves at 17.15).

Option 2: MALAGA AIRPORT: Many airlines offer cheap flights direct to Malaga airport which is around 2.5 hours from Bubion by car. There are numerous car hire firms at Malaga airport.

Alternatively you can take a taxi which will cost approximately 145€ each way.

If you wish to hire a taxi from either Malaga or Granada we would be happy to arrange this for you and, where possible, organise a number of riders to share the transfer in order to reduce the cost.
