We offer three different week-long itineraries, through some of the most spectacular scenery in the National and Natural Park of the Sierra Nevada.
The diversity of bridle-paths and forestry tracks allow us to explore many of the more inaccessible ravines and valleys of this mountainous region. The routes are so planned that we ride over totally different terrain each day.
From the high summer pastures and streams fed by the snow melt, down to the white washed villages in the valleys.
Week Rides On Offer
Moving daily from place to place, the ride takes us through the lower slopes of the Alpujarras down to the almond and vine clad hills of the Contraviesa mountain range. With the drop in altitude the landscape and climate change dramatically.
This is a stunning circular trail through the east of the Alpujarras and Sierra Nevada National Park, riding over very diverse and varied terrain, 3 days at high altitude. An amazing display of Mediterranean and Alpine flowers cover the mountains in May and June.
Centuries old bridle paths and more recent forestry tracks take us daily from whitewashed mountain village to village. Alpine Summer pastures, mountain streams, ancient Moorish water channels, terraced small holdings and abandoned mountain farms, provide a window into another way of life.
